Greetings to you saints in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! My name is Sis. Josephine Mukoko and I’m from Mutare. I want to thank the Lord for His grace and mercy. Our God still fights our battles as He did in the days of our prophet. He is so real beyond what we can ever imagine and we feel His magnificent presence everyday.

On the 24th of December 2021, I was travelling from Harare to Mutare with my sister and her three children. We boarded a bus and travelled well until we got to a place just after Riverside as you approach the city of Mutare. The bus driver noticed a drunk pedestrian crossing the road and then decided to avoid running over the drunkard by maneuvering the bus into the oncoming lane. Alas! In the oncoming lane were two fuel trucks heading for Harare and the leading one was speeding. An accident was now imminent as our bus driver could not maneuver the bus back in the correct lane in time. One of the fuel trucks, hit our bus by the side and the magnitude of the impact was so great such that some passengers were thrown out through the windows and the door. The moment was so distressful as people were screaming and helpless. That is when I saw God!

I was seated right at the front seats, just after the driver’s seat holding one of my sister’s children. The impact I mentioned earlier on, violently threw me and the child I was holding to the bus’s windscreen. The impact was so great that the windscreen shattered. When I was in mid-air, before landing on the windscreen, I could vividly see that it was my head that was going to impact first on the windscreen. How this sequence changed, I cannot tell. All I know is that my head did not impact first. It was just the grace of God! I was eventually thrown outside the bus and got one of my legs cut in the process. The cuts were so deep such that one could see the bone.

On the other side, my sister was also thrown out but she did no suffer major injuries. She was even fit enough to come and pick me up and the children. She also managed to retrieve her 7-month-old baby that was lying close to the wheels of the fuel truck. When my sister had managed to gather all of us (family) in one place we noticed that fuel was leaking from the truck and flowing to the area where we were sitting. Some of the people that had gathered on the scene noticed an unusual sound coming from the truck’s tank. The tank was about to blow! I could not stand on my own let alone walk but we had to evacuate as a matter of urgency. My sister grabbed her three kids and had no option but to drag me to safety. After moving away approximately 3-4 meters, boom! the tanker went. I thank the Lord for His amazing grace that allowed us to escape moments before the explosion.

I eventually went through dressing of my wounds for the following two months and started walking by March 2022 though with the aid of some crutches. It was not easy resuming my studies walking with the crutches but God came through for me as I went through the healing process. During the Easter meetings held at Harare City Tabernacle, the Spirit of God was in the place during the preaching services. I was inspired to leave the crutches in one of the services and started walking on my own.

I would like to encourage all the children of God to keep on believing because our God is real and tangible. If He did it for me He can also do it for you.

Regards,

Sis. Josephine
